Alex Gaskarth


Biography

Alexander William Gaskarth (mostly known as Alex Gaskarth) is a British musician who was born on 14 December 1987 in Harlow in Essex, England. He is the singer of the American pop-punk band All Time Low for which he also writes songs.
When he turned 7, Alex moved to the United States to live in Baltimore, Maryland. He met Jack Barakat at Dulaney High School and decided to start a band with him. Drummer Rian Dawson and bass played Zack Merrick later joined them to cover pop-punk songs.
Alex has also some side projects, such as collaboration with other artists. He was notably featured in Simple Plan's song Freaking Me Out or We Are The In Crowd's Kiss Me Again. He also sang the backup vocals in some songs from Yellowcard's album Southern Air. In 2013, Alex collaborated with the young band 5 Seconds Of Summer as a songwriter. In 2017, Alex wrote and sang on the song Jaded by his labelmates ONE OK ROCK.
In parallel, Alex has also started collaborating with the brand Glamour Kills in early 2012. He has released a few shirts and hoodies through his own clothing line AWG, whose name consists of Alex's initials.
