#FiveYearsOC: The press conference

As part of the celebrations for the website's 5th anniversary, we are going to talk about our top 5 events which made the experience of running this website unique. Read number 2 below. You can show your support by tweeting the hashtag #FiveYearsOC followed by a message in any language.

In early March 2015, we got the confirmation that we would interview All Time Low in Paris, France. As the band’s schedule was tight, we attended a press conference instead and got to ask a few questions to Jack and Rian. The video can be found on this link.
"Morgane is a go-getter when she has something in mind. In 2015, she contacted Hopeless Records to get to interview the band. The weeks that followed were very long as we were waiting for a positive answer. Morgane was to attend the press conference alone and she decided to invite me in. It was quite a nice experience and as I am shy and my English is not that good, I chose to shoot a video of the whole press conference with Jack and Rian instead of asking questions. It was a rather nice experience and I would like to thank Morgane, who wanted to share this moment with me." - Aurelie

"I flew a long way to be in Paris on that day. I had a nice chat with All Time Low's European management beforehand and the person who was on site was very patient with me as it was my first experience as a member of the press. Rian and Jack were really kind to us and to the French journalists who did not speak English that well, and it was really easy to interview them (their kindness and also the fact that I had already met them numerous times beforehand greatly helped me get rid of the stress for my first press conference). I was really glad to be given a voice in the media and I cannot wait to do it again." - Morgane

#FiveYearsOC: Our own photographer

As part of the celebrations for the website's 5th anniversary, we are going to talk about our top 5 events which made the experience of running this website unique. Read number 3 below. You can show your support by tweeting the hashtag #FiveYearsOC followed by a message in any language.

On the 22nd of June 2011, All Time Low performed in Lyon, France. Our friend and photographer Alice Chanal contacted the venue Ninkasi Kao to ask for permission to shoot the band, which she was allowed to do. The pictures can be found in this album.
"This event made me particularly happy for many reasons. First of all, it enabled the talented Alice to get a photo pass and do what she loves. It also showed that, not even a year after the opening of the website, our website had an impact on people and the media. It was Alice's first All Time Low concert and she even got to mention the website to Alex and Jack. I am really happy with the pictures she got to take in spite of her conditions of shooting (i.e. no barriers). I am also glad to say that we are planning to work with other aspiring photographers and will announce more about it as soon as possible." - Morgane
